on the forest floor


wood anemones and daffodils, and a few celandines, flowering in profusion on the floor of ancient woodlands.

The Laurel Cottage gang saw swallows on the wires by Venterdon Cottage this evening. Have they ventured to OH?

we have seen one martin in the garden, and one swallow in Launceston. I think these are the early migrants who will fly on up North before our local ones arrive.

Swallows have been spotted at Higher Downgate as well.
