common damsel

calling something common is a bit like calling it dog, this is the dog damsel fly and it is very pretty. The book says (what book you might ask) that the tiny chevrons at the back of the wing are diamond shaped and the 8th and 9th segments are entirely blue. 

harmonious flow

this was a very tranquil scene this morning. I am not sure who is climbing up the ladder. The curve in the bank blending into the river flow caught my canine eye.

brassentropy

.... and the chap on the right is blowing Spot's trumpet for him because dogs are NOT ALLOWED on the green. We could hear the brass band from home and joined in, and sang very well if I may say so.

And so ended another happy day. By the way mum says I make entropy look organised, what does this mean?

the icing on the cake

these ladies are preparing to give me thirst aid and carry me away on a stretcher.

these are all my cups being prepared (best in class, best sprout, best fruitcake and so on) and that is surely a winning smile. Spot loves you too. 

spoils of war

these are all the things that Harriet has pulled out of our garden this year, carefully labelled by date and position. People were shocked. The red labels were the best ones.
